The news about Bradley Manning’s face book page, detailing his checkered love life and other un military thoughts, was available at the telegraph.co.uk only a few days after he was arrested. That paper also had an interview with his mother in Wales as well as various background stories from Oklahoma. With one or two blog exceptions, no one in the US media chose to report the story of his homosexuality and its more than unfortunate repercussions until quite recently, and then in a sympathetic fashion, if the report about the Today show is representative, which I think it is.

There are, however, several Bradley Manning support groups on the web. Yikes!
